I found two first cousins I didn't know I had and we in turn did some detective work on our own and found that my father's brother had fathered two girls. One while he was in the service and didn't know about and the other he had not seen since she was little. We are all in our 60's now. Happy ending.

It’s possible, but unlikely. For this program to run optimally everyone would need their saliva collected. 23andMe is good at pairing people related by DNA when there is a match in the database.

It could, a friend of mine found out she was adopted. You can see other relatives that have done their dna.
