• Probably not a good idea. Most electronic devices work better and last longer in an environment with controlled humidity and temperature. This TV is lightweight and easy to handle even in the original package, so taking it with you come winter should be an easy option.

• As long as it's dry everything ought to be OK. Careful with the screen -- glass can break easily. Would suggest putting it in its original packing box for storage there.
