“Can I just use the cable remote for all the functions?”

• I use tv remote to turn on tv & for apps other than channel selector & volume. Use cable remote to select channels & volume.

• Yep, just program the remote for the tv. Some functions might take some playing around with the remote to figure out how to do some functions though

• As to my experience with Comcast, to mute the sound, you have to use the remote that came with the TV. All other TV functions, except setting the aspect of the screen, can be set with the cable remote.

• Cable remotes generally program over and work the day-to-day functions like volume, mute and power. The other functions of the TV do not generally program to the cable remote. You can always try multiple codes in the programming process to see which one provides the most functionality.
