Look at the 3 prong side of the cord. You will see a slightly larger prong and a slightly smaller prong and the ground in the middle. The slightly smaller prong would be the power or black and the slightly larger prong would be the white or neutral. For the power side prong, if the cord is flat, the wire in the cord will be on the same side of that prong. If cord is round, best to get continuity tester and test each side of cord
