Q: QuestionOur builder is installing microwave PEB7227ANDD but the related trim kit is too wide to allow the drawer below it to close. Is there a trim kit with a thinner profile that will work with this microwave and allow more clearance for the drawer front below?

Q: QuestionI have to replace my microwave model JEM31SF001. Is model # PEM31SFSS my best option? Will Trim kit # JX830SFSS work? If it is, how can I get one? My opening is 24” wide,10.5” height and 12” deep.

While we are happy to let you know trim kit #JX830SFSS is compatible with microwave #PEM31SFSS, however this microwave is not recommended for the opening dimensions that you have, as it requires at least an 18" deep receptacle. • A:Answer Hello. We appreciate your interest in a new microwave, and certainly understand how important fitting it into your existing space would be; we’re glad to advise. For an opening of that size, you would need a filler kit specifically to fit a microwave into the space. If you are looking for an over-the-range model, we have several options that might work for you, including PVM9225SRSS (with filler kit JX36BSS) and PVM9179DRBB (filler kit JX36BBB). Countertop microwaves are generally smaller, and the trim kit options for those are for 27” and 30” openings. You can view other options on our GE Appliances website, if you’d like, and if a certain model is compatible with a filler kit that information will be listed in the ‘Specs & Details’ on the product page. Q: QuestionI am replacing a built-in microwave ( 23 7/8 in wide, depth 19 13/16 in, height is 13 9/16 in. see picture). We have a trim kit making the space 30 in wide. the newer microwaves are 29 3/4 in. Will this kit work 29 3/4 in microwave? any suggestions?

• A:Answer Hi there - Great question! The part numbers for this microwave's 27" and 30" trim kits are 27": JX827DFWW and 30": JX830DFWW. The only difference between the 27" and 30" trim kit is the trim frame. If the microwave is installed over a 27" or 30" wall oven, be sure to match the trim kit width to the wall oven.
