Is this size good for a dorm room? null

Yes perfect its really light and the quality is good.

Perfect...just moved my child in to the Ubiversity of Florida this week. I would, however, recommend the purchase of a universal swivel mount unless you plan to mount the TV to the wall. BONUS...the TV has a built in digital tuner!
