Great TV for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Insignia, being Best Buy's in house brand, I wasn't expecting this TV to blow me away and i was right; it did nothing of the sort however, it definitely doesn't disappoint. With a little image tweaking in the VIDEO menu settings, I was able to make this $100 Insignia look nearly indistinguishable from say, a mid tier Samsung of a similar size and type (LED). I wouldn't recommend it being one's main TV, not only because of it's relatively smaller size but rather because it struggles to offer a great cinematic experience and it is unfortunately only 1280 X 720P (HD) although, it will upscale to 1080P however, it still lacks true FHD (FULL HIGH DEFINITION) which is 1920 X 1080 however, as a bedroom TV for example, it is extremely well priced, specifically for it's size (32in). Offering good viewing angels from both sides, generating an image that can be seen well while resting in bed for example, while still offering a more than decent HD experience. Also, because Insignia doesn't manufacture their own panels, at least to my knowledge, it could be a LG or Samsung panel with an Insignia logo on the front, but that's just simply personal conjecture and shouldn't aid in or dictate the consumer's decision making. All around, it's a great TV for more than just one circumstance, not only for the price, but it is predominantly, and simply a good TV in general. A third HDMI port would have been nice but for what this TV will be used for in most cases e.g. the bedroom or rec room, be it a kid's play room or adult's bedroom or office. i suppose two is sufficient, and both optical and analog audio outputs are great additions allowing for the addition of external speakers or possibly a sound bar. Although, lacking a third HDMI port is partially made up for by the TV sporting an analog video input with both left and right stereo sound in, which allows it to connect to older devices that many not support HDMI or output in HD such as old game consoles. So as long as the video settings are correctly adjusted after purchase, it is difficult to find much fault with this TV and for the price of only $100, it's nearly impossible to find fault of any kind.. Hopefully this long winded review will answer any potential questions someone may have and aid in the consumer's choice. All other things aside, one would be hard pressed to find a better TV of matching size and similar quality for this low of a price.

FIVE STARS: Insignia 32” HDTV Model NS-32D311NA17
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I have rated this HDTV a 5 not because it the best HDTV available. (My thousand dollar 55” Sony 4K XBR850D is far superior, no comparison, with features galore.) I have rated this 32” 720p five-stars because it is the best 32” available for a “C-Note” (deal of the day). Second, the NS-32D311NA17 is a VA LCD Panel that will produce darker blacks and better contrast, but will lose saturation when viewed from an angle. If you need a HDTV that has a much wider viewing angle, then the Insignia NS-32D220NA18 is a better option with an IPS Panel, although you will sacrifice contrast and darker blacks. Google "IPS vs. VA" if you need this explained; choose the link to the rtings.com site. Third, all of the picture presets are heavily oversaturated. The Picture Mode MOVIE was the most useful, I used that as a base for tweaking for natural skin tones storing under CUSTOM. Backlight = 33, Brightness = 60, Contrast = 50, Color =45, Tint = G20, Sharpness = 30. Advance Settings: Aspect Ratio = Wide, Overscan = Off, Dynamic Backlight = High, Color Temperature = Cool, Noise Reduction = Low, Adaptive Contrast = On. Those setting should get you “into the ballpark”, but you may have to tweak for your set and environment to get “front row seats”… Forth, like most all panel HDTV’s, the speakers are small and sound is minimal; will not rock your world. I have mine setup in a wall unit, with the bass jacked up, and the wall unit acts as a baffle that actually provides more than adequate volume with passable bass response. But used on an open base/stand you will probable want a sound bar… Lastly, this is currently being used in a spare bedroom for guest use. I have a cable box, indoor antenna, DVD, and VCR connected. No complaints from me for their “house brand” HDTV at the $100 price point from Best Buy.

Perfect for a child's bedroom
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up on sale for my daughter's bedroom along with a wall mount. A little thicker than I expected at around 3" but extremely light and easy to mount alone. The picture is surprisingly bright and crisp for a 720p considering that most of the channels she watches are only available in standard definition.

Durable little unit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for our travel trailer. On our first trip before I mounted it, I laid it on the upper bunk with some pillows around it. After a 60 mile drive, I entered the trailer and was dismayed to find it lying on the floor. Somehow during the trip it managed so slide off and and drop 7 ft. to the floor. I turned it over, and the screen was undamaged. I plugged it in, and it worked perfectly. Tough little bugger. The only bad thing about this device is the speakers are on the back, apparently designed to reflect off the wall. Since it's not mounted on a swing out mount, there's not wall behind it to reflect the sound making it difficult to hear the audio when viewing. Need to figure out how to attach a sound bar to the mount.

Great bang for ur buck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a CCTV installer and I swear by the insignia TV. They have a great picture quality for a great price. Best of all being that I'm using them as a CCTV monitor they are normally on 24hr a day and I'll personally guarantee that it will out last any on the higher end brands by far. I normally by 50+ of these on average from 19"-60" and one again all great.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture and sound, easy set up. The only negative aspect is the feet instead of a pedestal. Bought for my son's room and the feet hang off the sides of his game cabinet.

Q: QuestionCan this tv be used as a computer monitor?
Asked by Jumpee.
- A:Answer Technically, yes (providing your computer outputs via HDMI). The resolution will be lower than you may like, =- however. A 720p television has a resolution of 1280 x 720, so even though the monitor will be big the resolution will be low. Most entry level computer monitors have a resolution of 1920 x 1080. If this is going to be a secondary monitor (for presentations, etc.) it would work fine.

Q: Questionwill i need a digital conveter box with this tv
Asked by do.
- A:Answer No, all new TVs now have a digital tuner that can receive the over the air signals from the broadcast stations after the digital signal conversion back in 2009. Unless the TV is older than 2009, it should not need a converter box.
