Now if you connect an antenna (this model does have an antenna input) and then scan for available local OTA (over-the-air) broadcasts, you will be able to receive channels without cable or dish networks. The number and quality of channels will depend on the size and location of your antenna. Note that even a "Smart HDTV" will require an internet link to access video material.
