For Playstation Vue, the built-in Roku performs faster than the 1st and 2nd gen Fire Sticks. The higher powered Fire TV Box is still faster but that cost about $100. Only thing with the Roku is that you cannot install 3rd party apps such as Kodi where you can do that with FireTV Sticks.

If you have amazon prime, they have amazon exclusives and you get the added benefit of the free prime shipping. Amazon fire stick can receive some live channels (I.e. nfl football games) but it is limited. I am not sure about roku.
