USB drive must be formatted to fat32 and once you update the sofware, it can be played and looped.

The one issue i did have was that i could not select an option to loop the video. i have a stand alone Roku that can do this so it just may be an issue of updating the software.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it'll play a mp4 from a USB drive. Drive must be formatted FAT32. Did not work with ExFAT drive. FAT32 will only allow up to 4GB files, so that might limit you. Also, the Roku USB player will not loop, but you can buy Play USB from the Roku store and it will loop with the app.
