• Ensure connection between Direct TV box and TV antenna inputs are properly connected and the TV is on Channel 3 or 4. Hope this helps.

• Try using the ARC HDMI.

• You must have an HDMI out put from the Direct TV box and plug it into one of the HDMI inputs on the TV. Also read my review.
