• Yes, I can get Nickelodeon, Disney, PBS, and a lot of other channels for kids without the FIOS cable box. You do need to activate each channel with your FIOS account via a computer so it helps to have a laptop nearby when downloading the channels.

• You will not get all channels unless you have cable package. The Roku features gives you a ton of apps which can allow you to forgo a cable box. I use my TV as a stand alone, no cable box connection.
