“I recently had direct tv and used the amazon fire stick on my tv's. I have switched to spectrum and the fire stick will not stream their channels. So my question is can I use the fire stick,can it be used along with the Roku app on this tv as an extra app”

I do this myself, just change to the input that the Fire TV Stick in in, (HDMI 2, HDMI 3) and the Fire TV Stick will start. - - - - - - To your 1st question, the Fire TV Stick should work regardless on what TV service you have, it's completely separate from each other since they are on different inputs (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc).
