This TV has a "digital" tuner meaning you can use a powered indoor antenna via coax cable to view digital over the air broadcasts. So, yea, it already has a "tuner".... - - - - - How your "old" tv was better I don't know, (maybe you are thinking about way back in the past when your antenna received "analog" tv signals from tv stations (that's all gone), it's digital broadcasts now) - - - - - ?are you using the same antenna from the "old" tv to this new tv? Old coax cable from the past are not the same as the newer coax cable of today.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you can change the length of the coax wire a foot or so that connects your tv to the antenna. At the microwave frequencies involved sometimes you have to "tune" the cable drop line. An in line amplifier may help
