You don't need to "disconnect" the Roku from the TV, not necessary. Search in the settings, you can instead of when the TV first powers on, go to the Home screen to select the "input" (Cable TV) or whatever - you can change it in the settings, to: start TV from last input, so when the TV first powers on, its automatically on the Cable TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This IS a ROKU TV!! It's always going to start in Roku mode-- but it allows you to select cable or antenna options once it's powered on. Since the one I have in my bedroom is connected to an antenna, once it's turned on, the antenna option shows a LIVE picture that I click on to enlarge. I'm sure the cable option will show a LIVE picture to click on if you have cable to click on to enlarge--ONCE YOU CLICK ON THE FIRST TIME , you gotta click on it the first time so it saves your viewing habits.
