“I want to use the TV without network access. How can I only use my direct tv remote and not the insignia remote?”

• In the Setting for the TV there should be an option where the TV automatically goes into the Cable TV mode when it is powered on. Then assuming you can have your DirecTV remote learn the power and volume control for the INsignia TV (which should not be a problem), then you will not need to use the Insignia remote.

• You can use the tv without network access, you can program the direct tv remote as well to work for the tv.
