• Statement from the Best Buy website: You can transfer your Geek Squad Protection. When you sell or give someone your covered product, Geek Squad Protection is still in effect, with no additional charges or restrictions. Call 1-800-433-5778 to transfer.

• The terms and conditions say it is, BUT mine was cancelled and $0 refund. The item it was purchased for was less than 60 days old, Insignia brand, and under manufacturer warranty. The replacement item will have NO protection plan. Total ripoff.
