What battery? There is an extra box to receive the signal and that plugs into an outlet and they plug into it. So they are not Completely wireless just don't have to run their wires all the way around the room just across the back of the room. Hope that helped.

First you need an electrical outlet for the receiver and then the wires to go to the speakers (all included). It makes it just a bit easier to wire since you don't have to run wires from the unit to the surround speakers. You set up the receiver in the back of the room and then plug it in and run the wires to the speakers. No batteries involved.
