Is there a way to remove the lens once it's on? null

Are you asking if the filter can be removed from the lens. If so, absolutely. It is threaded. It also protects the lens, in case of blunt force, the filter will sustain damage long before the much more costly lens, and is then removed and replaced.

This polarizer screws onto the end of the lens and you can take the entire lens off in one piece without removing the polarizer.
