“If I were to have this product installed by best buy in my 2007 Toyota 4Runner, how would I plug my iphone in via usb? I don't see any usb ports on the face of the product, so where is the port and is it reasonably accessible for daily use?”

The USB port is on the back of the unit. The unit also comes with a USB extension cable. I routed that cable to my center console and just plug my phone in there.
