Hi Nick, thanks for your question and interest in Bosch Ventilation products. If you are not venting the air outside, you would need to purchase a recirculation kit. Please refer to the different venting options for model # HDD86051UC listed in the Installation manual, found here: https://media3.bsh-group.com/Documents/8001154562_A.pdf.
