• Your cable box and everything else feeds into the receiver. Select the input on the receiver to the port you have the cable plugged into and enjoy the sound.

• You connect the dish DVR to the receiver. It has 4 HDMI inputs with a single HDMI output. I have a Roku, a DVD player and my cable box all connected via HDMI's to the receiver and it is connected to the TV via the HDMI out.
