I believe that you are referring to POLARIZING lens filters and not UV filters. Any UV filter should work on any lens that you have. You MUST be certain to purchase the correct size for the lens you will be using. There are two types of Polarizing filters. You need to tell the BEST BUY associate what camera you are using and which lens you want to use with the filter. They will also advise you on the angle you use with a Polarizing filter to get the best results. Be sure you ask about this if you are not familiar with this type filter.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think you are referring to polarizing filters, which will reduce the stops of light coming into the camera by varying degrees. This item is a uv filter and will have no effect (none that I've noticed) on cameras whether they have a lens that focuses internally or externally. You can have an auto-focusing lens, the main issue with polarizing filters is that if it externally focuses you will have a rotating front element that will change the effect.
