Could the speakers be mounted to the ceiling? null

I would not mount directly to the ceiling...I feel this would be detrimental to sound quality but they sound fantastic at ceiling level wall mounted....really it's just a matter of you do it you like it....leave that way....

There is a mounting hole on the top back of speaker. So I'm sure they could provided that one would have the proper harness or contraption.

Yes, the four surround speakers can be easily wall mounted.
