We've integrated this Yamaha 5.1 System for a client under $500. Comes with everything you need, easy to set up and sounds great.

I’m still using this as we speak. The cords how ever went bad quick. But the system it self still works. The smaller speakers however became because the front mesh piece falls off pretty easy. But the sound is amazing even after having it for so long the sound is still loud. I lost my remote to it and bought a new one off of Amazon and it’s still amazing and works fine.

I am really enjoying my Yamaha Home Surround sound system. It is everything I was looking for in a home theater system. It does everything I expected and much more. I am very happy with this purchase from Best buy. Thank you.

Great 5.1 surround sound system that works excellent for music or movies. Easy to setup. The YPAO does a great job automatically optimizing the speaker settings to suit the listening position in your room. Since I have an older version iPod, the AUX input on the front panel is great for easy plug in. The Blue Tooth works like a charm with my iPhone. Given the sound, all the features and reasonable price, I believe this is one of the best systems you can buy for the money.

This Yamaha 5.1 home theater system sounds amazing and is quite a good value for the price. Rich, full sound, along with an impressive array of features, including4 HDMI ports with 4K and HDR passthrough. Couldn't be happier! Highly recommended. NOTE: If you have a 15' + run of HDMI from this receiver to your TV you will need a high-end HDMI cable for 4K / HDR Blu-ray to work. I recommend the Audioquest Cinnamon cable. High price but the only thing that would work for me.

This was a replacement for an old home theater surround sound system. All my devices (cable box, Apple TV and Blue Ray player and TV) have HDMI connections. Connecting the devices and speakers was easy, especially when using the Yamaha AV Setup Guide App. After using the YPAO setup, the sound is awesome from all sources. The scenes buttons that give one touch switching between the connected devices makes this system easy to use for the people in the household that are not tech-savvy. For the price this is a great system.

To start off, I've not spent thousands of dollars into audio equipment. but I can appreciate a good deal, and a great sound! purchased this box a few months ago to put in our apartment. it was replacing our RSB20 Klipsch soundbar/sub combo that cost much more then this did. The klipsch's blu-tooth had gone out and wanted to try something different. We are very glad we did! The settings within the receiver allowed us to customize the distance from where the surround speakers were from the the receiver, and the locations of each speaker. Also let us set the DB up and down to here what kind of sounds more from which speaker! We enjoy watching the Fast and Furious movies, and this really makes it much more entertaining hearing all the sounds around us while the cars go flying by. Our dogs will hear the sounds from behind the room during movies involving pets, and think it's outside. lol I'm not a detailed reviewer, just an average Joe who feels he got a great deal. It was for sure an upgrade over the $800 Klipsch RSB20 we had before. Note: We did upgrade from the paper sub to a Klipsch R12SW and that thing rocks your socks! lol for sure a worthy upgrade from a paper sub to give a true theater setting.

Had a Samsung 2.1 soundbar that just wasn't doing it's duty. The TV's speakers sounded better. Found this Yamaha 5.1 complete system as an open box in excellent condition and couldn't be happier. Serious bass and ultra clear voices. I have a medium sized living room and this makes it sound like a movie theater. Very happy with the purchase.

Bought this package as part of a new home theater set up with a new 4k TV (Sony) and Xbox One X. The Yamaha package was easy to set up and works great wit the other components. Sound is good and makes for a good low budget home theater system. You could spend alot more and not get as good sounding system as this Yamaha set up is.

I set this up for a theater room and It sounds great. I had to turn the volume on the subwoofer down because it was shaking the walls. Easy to adjust. I haven't run the test yet to calibrate it because I am waiting for a day when no one else is home so it doesn't scare the kids.

Wow, this theater system Rocks..it sound soo loud.has 4 hdmi ,optical,tuner,usb and Bluetooth,all packed in receiver,,speakers have great sound sound,and bass is super sound with woofer,a great deal package that comes all in one box..great deal,for a great surround sound theater experience .I lovee my Yamaha!!

My Vizio soundbar of 4-years failed, so I chose this Yamaha system over the Onkyo system that was less expensive. I find 4 HDMI inputs to be adequate. Some may not. I love the HDMI CEC feature, as my TV also has it. It automatically selects the proper input on the TV, and the receiver. You don't need a loop for the audio output. However, you need to set the system to 6 ohms out of the box. Look at the CD or online instruction manual for details. At first, I thought this system sounded very muddy. I didn't have all of the speakers wired at that time. When I finally wired all of the speakers, and placed where I liked them, I ran the YPAQ setup. That made a huge difference! You need to do that! In about a minute, I had the system sounding crisp and clean! Keep two things in mind: 1. All of the speakers are wired. My living room happens to have a drop ceiling, which makes the wiring much easier than trying to drill holes and snaking wires through the wall. The amount of speaker cable supplied with the system will not be enough for most setups. I recommend 16 gauge wire for the speakers. Still, you will need diagonal cutters at a minimum. 2. You're not going to get earth-shattering bass with this system. Actually, yes you can at the expense of distortion. I hate distortion! I have a feeling this setup is made more for movies than for pure music. Personally, I listen to music more often than I watch movies. You won't have to turn the volume up very high before you start to get distortion from the included small speakers. By default, the YPAQ sets the crossover frequency at 80Hz. I highly recommend setting it to 120 or 160Hz. Those small speakers cannot handle the extra bass setting otherwise. A feature I love is the ability to send the audio to another Bluetooth device. That's great for sending an FM station to another Bluetooth speaker, or headphones you may have. The range is actually quite good. As a negative, the AM section on this receiver really stinks! I am one of the rare people who likes to listen to AM radio once in a while. This receiver actually picks up AM radio very poorly, even when the included AM antenna is connected. Summary: the Yamaha YHT-4930UBL 5.1-channel Home Theater in a Box System is great for beginners, people with a low budget (like myself), and people with low expectations. If you don't fall into one into these categories, buy a receiver, and separate speakers.
