“Couple of questions here. First, how is the supplied speaker wire? Would you advise buying better quality? Second, I will be mounting the speakers in my basement to the exposed floor joists. What type of bracket will be needed? Thanks”

I definitely recommend buying speaker wire. The wire that comes with is 20 gauge I believe. For mounting, I'm not sure how you're wanting to mount the speakers, but I just bought some rocketfish tilting wall mounts. They definitely do the job, and they sell a 5 pack.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The supplied speaker wire is small (maybe 18 or 20 gauge?). I happened to have some bigger gauge wire so I used it. I'm not sure if it made a difference but for how cheap speaker wire is, I would try something different. The speakers have the hole in them that is shaped like a pear if that that makes sense. You would slide the head of a screw in the fat part and then it would site on the skinny part to secure it. There is also a threaded hole on the back of the speakers.
