A:AnswerI was very surprised at the range of choices as well.
I just run through them to see which one fits the situation, have found that the one I use most often for movies, Netflix, is the 5 speaker mode. I use this same one for listening to music as well.
For just regular tv shows or sports, I may or may not use the amp at all.
A:AnswerI am going to say it is a internet or wifi problem. Check your wifi speed. I got better results
by using a direct router cable rather than wifi. You can also plug the HDMI directly to the TV
and have the audio from the TV go to the Yamaha sound system.
A:AnswerLogitech brand that runs everything regarding the tv, dvd player, the Directv DVR system. It is easy to learn and use and one remote is all one would ever need to run every aspect of the tv & surround system and home theater system.
A:AnswerTry using the included mike sensor to calibrate you room and speakers. It’s a must! I have a similar setup. 5.1 sounds great for movies and shows that took the time in sound engineering. Google it!
A:AnswerI have everything connect to it. Including Xbox, Wii. Does an amazing job with least hassle. I never felt the need for WiFi on this so can't say much about that. I also can not comment on the differences as I never owned Onkyo. But, this sounds really great and I am happy with the purchase.
