This was one of the devices I was looking at for note taking in class (this and a tablet). I prefer the ease of writing by hand and being able to draw as needed, so I went with a tablet with great note-taking ability (Dell 7000), however, the chromebook was a close second for me because of just how many apps Google has available for it that make it a beast for taking notes in class. It is fast to boot up, has a quick and responsive keyboard, and a plethora of note-taking apps and other school-related functions. I would say if you have no problem taking notes by typing, you could not go wrong with this Acer. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has google docs, so there you can use there version of word. On thing I like about google docs is that you can access it anywhere, all you have to do is sign into your gmail account.
