I use only the USB-c cable. I have not tried using the HDMI cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The USB-C port you are connecting to must be able to output video (ie. Thunderbolt or DisplayPort over USB-C). Not all USB-C ports allow for transmitting video. You should check the specifications of the device you are connecting the monitor to so you can confirm it allows you to transmit video through the USB-C port. If your USB-C port does not allow video, you will not be able to get a signal on the monitor.
