Its not exactly an "antivirus"... its more like it is engineered so as not to be subject to computer viruses. It is not a Windows or Mac OS. I understand it is a partial subset of linux, modified by Google... and it does have built in virus protection. Also, the chromebook OS updates frequently, and automatically, so virus writers would have to run quickly to keep up with the updates... and if something should happen, it has a built in "power wash" option that resets everything back to factory settings.
