A:Answer Recertified products can be demo units, review units or customer returns. Unfortunately there is no way to determine why a particular model was recertified. With that said, these should be purchased with the expectation of some possible cosmetic issues, but the product should be in working condition. This model does come with a one year subscription to Microsoft Office 365.
