“I dont want to use wifi but my old internet cable is too big to plug into the laptop so what would you easily suggest?”

The Ethernet port on this laptop is the standard size. If you look at the port straight on, you will see plastic that covers the bottom of the port just a little. Take your ethernet cable jack and press down on that plastic which opens up the port wider then slide the cable connector in. If you need some help with this please call Acer support at 866-695-2237.
