“Does this laptop actually have ethernet? I know it is listed in the details as having giagbit ethernet. However, one of the reviews here and also video reviews of the product on youtube seem to indicate there actually isn't an ethernet port.”

I didn't see an RJ-45 port but there is an adapter for the USB that can transform one of the USB ports to it. You should buy it separately. This is to my knowledge and I have not tried it or know more that what have stated. Please ask an Acer technical support technician for more precise answer.

The device can handle a gigabit wired connection, but that requires a usb adapter that runs for something like $20 I believe. It's a great computer in my opinion, so I wouldn't let the 20 bucks or so hold you back unless you absolutely need the native port.
