Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My R5-471T-52EE has a QUALCOMM 802.11ac dual band adapter which connects at 866.7 to the 5 GHz band. It also sees 2.4 GHz but I didn't connect to at that speed as is slower. It was very fast in my tests and I easily was able to transfer at least at 30 MB/S (not Mb/S) in my test between a PC and this laptop continuously with large size files (do not recall transfer rate with small files but as expected should be much slower). I'm not an expert anyway and you should seek expert opinion if need more info please.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the laptop has AC wifi and supports 2.4 and 5 ghz. Whoever said otherwise is wrong. I have two networks at home, one on each frequency, and this laptop works on each one just fine. I haven't found any wifi standard it won't connect to.
