It is not likely to be the monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check your cables to make sure they're properly seated between your PC and the monitor. If that doesn't help, make sure your drivers are current. You can also check the resolution you're running the video at - if your vid card can't handle a particular resolution, you'll get flickering and other isues, since a slower vid card can't keep up with drawing the images on the screen.
