Please just plug in the HDMI...plugging in both is not recommended.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can use one or the other. The difference is HDMI can give better picture AND sound quality where VGA or DVI can lack. I, however, am content with using a DVI cable for mine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Either or, not both. The difference is the connectivity - the VGA cannot process audio so you can't use the 3.5mm jack in the back of the monitor. Also, I prefer HDMI, simpler connection and IMO, better quality.
