So you don't really need to buy anything else. Pretty good monitor for the money though not comparable with retina.

This comes with VGA and HDMI cables, so you can either use a mini DisplayPort/USB-C adapter (depending on machine model) with the included cables, or purchase an active mini-DP to HDMI cable and use that instead (again, depends on model)
