Sound can be connected via 3.5mm jack - you will need to have separate speakers to connect to it. Should be compatible with any computer that has a HDMI out. Note that audio cannot come through a VGA port, so you will need to keep that in mind when setting up your computer (IE: if your computer doesn't have a HDMI out, it won't send sound to the monitor, which means you will have to connect sound elsewhere, more than likely directly to the computer via 3.5mm jack).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The monitor does NOT have built in speakers. I learned this the hard way when I took it home and happily plugged it in before I realized that games would not be outputting sound through it. Whether it would work with your current PC. (Which, I'm looking it up and it seems to be a laptop?) It should work with it as long as you have an HDMI out or one of the other acceptable output methods. (VGA, DVI-D) So, in conclusion. No built in speakers (though there is a volume control for when you connect speakers to it directly.) and it will probably work as a monitor to use alongside your laptop. Hope this helped!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased the ACER H236HL 23 IPS LCD LED monitor last month and paired it with my HP 251-a244 desktop computer with no problems. It does not have internal speakers, but I've always used headphones or external speakers anyway. This monitor can be hooked up with HDMI, VGA or DVI cables, and it comes with HDMI and VGA cables in the box. The ACER H236HL 23 IPS LCD LED monitor works perfectly with my setup, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great monitor with a reasonable price tag.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has sound when hooked to Lenovo I don't know about a Dell
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No speakers on this monitor, can't imagine why it wouldn't be compatible with the Dell.
