1. This specific model has 1 USB 2.0 port, 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port. Aside from USB, it has a HDMI port. You should get about 5 Gbps from the USB ports. 2. It will work, just keep in mind it's aimed at gamers. As a result, there will be highlights on WASD and software targeted at gamers. Of course, you could replace the keycaps and just not use the gaming software, so it doesn't really matter. The low cost makes it a great choice. Keep in mind there is another model with a 1TB hard drive (linked). The CPU is slightly slower, but the laptop is slightly larger and has Acer ComfyView (anti-glare.) If you don't plan to game, the extra storage would be great, just keep in mind a HDD will be noticeably slower, and the 70$ sale does not apply. tl;dr: Yes, but there is another model to consider.
