• The $649 is a 7th Gen professor, this one is he new 8th Gen. The 8th Gen is a pretty big upgrade over the 7th in terms of processing speed.

• There is a difference in the cpu. It is a 8th gen core i5. This will give you a 15% boost in FPS in gaming averagely.
