While Acer has not tested that exact hdd, this model supports a 7mm or 9.5mm 2.5" hdd, up to 2TB.

Please try again later.I installed a 1TB 7mm HDD without problem, except even with the bracket/retainer that comes in the drive bay, I still had to put a "shim" in the bay to keep the 7mm drive from "rattling" around. I used a small section of folded paper sized and shaped in a way to leave about 80% of the drive's surface exposed to the air. This should not be an issue with a thicker drive. Be sure to use appropriate Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) protection whenever doing any work inside the computer.
