- Answer It depends on how much storage you need. This Nitro 5 ships with a hdd kit to allow the user to install a 2.5" SSD or SATA3 hard drive if extra storage is needed.

QuestionWill the new gen i5 edit 4K video just fine? This laptop seems like it will edit 4K video all day with the help of an external hard drive. I don’t want an i7. Nor do I want a touch screen... do I?

- Answer I just did a 4K video editing test. It’s very capable of 4K editing. For playback you’ll want to hook up a 4K monitor or TV. That way you can clearly see the final results. The build in screen is only 1080p.

QuestionCan it play Minecraft with 20+ mods and shaders? If so could you tell me what type of FPS it would get?

- Answer I'm not 100% sure on minecraft of your specifics but I purchased this laptop for my boys to play fortnite and Roblox and they have had no issues with either. Graphics are great and it's not laggy at all.

- Answer It depends on availability at the time of manufacture. The SSD can be, but not limited to Toshiba, Hynix, Micron and others. In order to identify the exact SSD, we would need the serial number of the laptop.

- Answer No, the keyboard backlight will automatically go off after several seconds of non-use. This is by design to get the best battery life from the laptop.

Questionhonestly this laptop to me sounds to good to be true. it sounds like a dumb question but some of these specs are better than some 100 dollar PCs. ive seen a lot on positive reviews for this but it just seems crazy to me for such a low price.

- Answer It is not to good to be true, but a computer tech this laptop is worth every penny and more to be this cheap. I have looked at the exact same one at other places and site. The cost is almost a 1000. So all your expectations this laptop will exceed them. I really cant say nothing bad about it beside if u get it you will love it.

My AN515-53-55G9...in a sealed box at the store...came with 1-stick of DDR4-2400 RAM, although all the literature strongly implied it came with DDR4-2666, and no one from the store could tell me otherwise. Memory Module Brand/Model as received was: per CPUz = SK Hynix SO-DIMM 8GB, DDR4-2400, CL17-17-17 Module Label = sk Hynix 8GB 1Rx8 PC4-2400T-SA1-11

- Answer This model supports DDR4 2666 SO-DIMM, up to 32GB using two slots. Micron and Hynix are among those brands tested/qualified. Most any electronics shop should carry this type of memory if you want to upgrade.

- Answer You could upgrade to Intel Octane, only issue being that the only M.2 slot is being populated by the 256 NVMe storage drive. To get to this slot you have to do a full disassembly of the chassis to reach the M.2 slot. THe only other slot is a 2.5 inch SATA SSD bay. I don't think you would need Octane with this NVMe ssd already included.

- Answer No, this computer doesn't come with Microsoft office suites inherently. i've provided a link to it being on sale by Best Buy for 119 USD if you want it. That said this laptop is the cheapest 1050ti on the market this Christmas. What your getting internally in this laptop is 150-300+ more with other realtors/makers. So picking this up at 599 and adding 119 USD still is only gonna run you 720 USD in the end. - Answer Yes, I actually purchased this on black Friday its new. It comes in a double box. Brown cardboard box sleeve around a inner box for the actual laptop. If you look at it comparability vs other laptops with 1050ti on the market your saving around 150-300+ USD on the same specs. Its a good deal I would pick one up be sure to also watch some videos on reviews of the laptop. It is not "new" persay it came out about a year ago at a starting value of 900 USD has gone down to 800 USD, and now for the holidays is this 599 which makes it the cheapest 1050ti laptop on the market this Christmas.

QuestionWhat is the performance like vs the HP Omen? I recently had my car broken into and my HP Omen stolen, so I'm looking for a replacement that won't break the bank. Does it play more demanding, newer games well?

- Answer I have both the HP omen and the Nitro and the only difference I have noticed is the visual quality seems to be slightly better on the omen. But both work great. My omen has the I7 processor and the nitro has the I5 but didn’t see much of a difference.

- Answer It has intel nvme ssd. Ran crystaldiskmark once and as fas as I remember it was 1600 mb/sec read and 600 write. Blazing fast if you ask me
