As long as it is a standard 2.5 inch laptop hard drive, then yes you can absolutely do that. The laptop comes with extra screws to install the hard drive so you shouldn't need anything besides the hard drive to install, a screw driver, and maybe a small plastic tool to pry the bottom case off. Should be an easy install.
