A:AnswerThis model does not support Thunderbolt 3 and the GPU is not over-clockable. Changing the M.2 or 2.5" hdd will not void the warranty as long as no damage occurs by doing so. If damage does occur, the repair will be subject to a fee but once it is repaired, the warranty will continue until it expires.
A:AnswerWhile we cannot address Best Buy pricing questions, this model does have the GTX 1050 Ti GPU. Specifications are also posted here: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/NH.Q2QAA.016
A:AnswerAs long as it is a standard 2.5 inch laptop hard drive, then yes you can absolutely do that. The laptop comes with extra screws to install the hard drive so you shouldn't need anything besides the hard drive to install, a screw driver, and maybe a small plastic tool to pry the bottom case off. Should be an easy install.
A:AnswerThis very likely will have no problems running world of warcraft at nearly max if not max settings im basing this off the fact that im running ff 14 at max setting and not dropping below 55 fps even in dungeons
A:AnswerSSD is a PCIE x4 lane M.2 drive. Max write speed is about 1650mb/sec.
There is an open 2.5" bay running on Sata III.
The Ram is single channel DDR4 at 8gb. There is an open slot. Max capacity is 32gb. The vid runs its own DDR5 so latency with single channel isn't noticeable.
The vid is a 1050TI with 4gb of dedicated DDR5 video memory running at default 3504 memory clock and a 1750 boost speed.
A:AnswerYes, this would be suitable, but please note that while Acer does not test many gaming applications we would recommend you check that the computer meets the system requirements of the application/game to determine if it will work. You can also contact the software vendor to see if they can provide information on compatibility with their software. You might also post your question on the Acer Community where there are many users that post questions and offer help and advice on Acer products. The link is: https://community.acer.com/
A:AnswerDepends on what games your wanting to play. It runs fortnite great, but I haven't tried to stream at the same time. It's a great computer for playing games, not sure about streaming, you'd probably have to decrease the graphics but I'm sure it would work!
A:AnswerThe laptop ships with one 8GB memory stick and supports up to 32GB max using two memory slots. To max it out you would need to remove the 8GB stick and install two 16GB sticks.
A:AnswerIt comes with Windows 10 Home 64 bit and you can change any operating system from 32 to 64 bit at no additional charge. You would have to reinstall windows, but it is totally doable. It does have 64 bit though so you are good.
