This model uses an improved AC adapter connection that must be fully inserted for the product to power on for the first time. Make sure the adapter is properly connected as shown in the user documentation and the support article https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/66710
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The problem is that people are not following the directions. You MUST plug it in first, and you MUST do it correctly. I thought I had done it like the illustration but mine didn't power on and my heart sank.... Then I re-looked at the illustration and tried again and heard an audible click of the power plug. Then held down the power button and voila! Powered up perfectly and has worked perfectly!
