- Answer Yes, you can expand the memory as well. There is a popular YouTuber by the name of Meanpooh that has posted some in depth videos on this laptop from memory and hdd upgrades to removing the cooler and adding better thermal paste. Definitely check him out.

QuestionI need to know if the USB - C port is Gen 1 or Gen 2 . This makes a big difference as Gen 1 is basically USB 3.0 with higher wattage .

QuestionWhy was it advertised as RGB backlit if it’s only red? i’ve waited a week for this laptop to come in because i wanted RGB. if i wanted red i could have just picked it up from best buy the next day.

- Answer zfloyd that is untrue. acer confirmed that it was a RGB backlit and the specifications said RGB when i ordered it. they changed it about 5 days after i had already ordered it.

QuestionI don't know alot about computers but I do like some games like hearts of iron 4 and total war , is this computer strong enough to handle games like that ? Thank you

- Answer I play World of Warcraft on this laptop and I have had No lag issues or distortions during 25 man raids or any battle senes. It is by far the best slim line gaming laptop for this price point and I use it everyday. Highly recommend it

- Answer Yes, it can run VR but you have to increase the memory to at least 16GB, 24 is better and of course, 32 will be great. But you can get by with 16 GB

QuestionI love the value of this computer. Quick question.. I would like to upgrade the RAM to 2x 8GB sticks. The specs noted for the OEM 8GB stick are DDR4, 2933 MHz RAM. Can't find a good set of 2 with those exact specs. Can I increase or decrease frequency?

- Answer Go for the 3200 speed. 2933 is the bus speed of the cpu and the 3200 will slow otself to 2933 to match the bus speed. The 2666 memory will reduce the cpu bus speed to 2666. Keep the brand and model the same as the original memeory stick so that the clock cycles match.

- Answer Yes, you can add RAM. It comes with 1 stick 8gb DDR4SD installed. There are 2 slots available, upgradable up to 32gb total (so 2 sticks of 16gb). If you add RAM in addition to what comes installed you will want matching brand/speed/size. If you buy new, make sure the 2 sticks match because if you get 2 different speeds it could affect the system and your higher speed stick will be limited to the lower stick.
