Unfortunately with laptops that have been subjected to liquid spills, corrosion can still continue over time and cause problems with the electrical components. This means that most, if not all electrical components would need to be replaced. We consider a system a complete loss if 3 or more major components are damaged, which is typical with liquid spills. You might take the laptop to a local repair shop to see if the damage can be fixed.
