“I have tried connecting multiple headsets to this laptop to use as headphones and a mic. The headphones work fine but none of the gaming headsets microphones will work at all. I have tried every walk-through possible online and nothing is working.”

When plugging a microphone or combined headset into the audio combo jack, make sure the required connector type is correct or the microphone will not work.
