“The fans on this laptop cut on often and very loud, even when my son is just doing school work. Is this normal? Is there a setting so it doesn't cut on so often with non-taxing use? Only had 6 days so not enough time to load much on it.”

The Predator Sense utility has fan settings. If you feel there is a hardware problem, please contact Acer support at 866-695-2237.
