• I have had my book about three weeks. I have only charged it twice. In the evening after work is when I use it. I turn it off overnight and while working. But when I'm home it's on standby. Seems to be a great battery.

• A long time. Chrome OS doesn't slow down in a short cycle. Think of the Chromebook as a phone that only has one app, Google chrome. You can add Android apps although many don't work properly. I'm hoping they fix that soon.
